50 Years of Quality, Standby Power

Waukesha, Wis. – October X, 2009 – Generac^® Power Systems, Inc., Waukesha, Wis., a leading manufacturer of standby and portable power generation equipment and the 2009 winner of the Waukesha County Business of the Year Executive Award, celebrated its 50^th anniversary on September 15, 2009 with an Open House from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at its corporate headquarters in Waukesha, Wis.

The event was one of three open houses Generac hosted at each of its facilities in the Milwaukee area. Attendees included employees, their families and members of the community who were treated to food, games, live music, interactive displays and raffles. Additionally, much to everyone’s surprise, a helicopter dropped ping pong balls marked for prize giveaways.

Milwaukee County Executive and gubernatorial candidate, Scott Walker (above left, with Dawn Tabat, chief operating officer, Generac) and Generac founder Robert Kern (below right) spoke to attendees at the celebration kickoff.
