great 5*****
This has been one of the easiest generator to service and setup. After working on and with generators with the military for 30 years I know.
Would recommended this system to anyone

This was a fantastic purchase
I brought this generator for home back up. It lives up to everything they say about it. It powers everything in the house that I need it to.

Powerful with great features
To be used as back up power supply due to numerous outages. Had 50A interlock power box installed and will be using 50A circuit to power home. searched many different units and settled on this one, has significant power and features for whole house operation. Lost power last time for 6 days straight, during X-mas 2012.
Received unit in perfect condition and dealer had unit all set prior to receiving, started immediately when start button pushed. Strong powerful sounding engine and generator head. I think this unit is the best semi-pro unit on the market all things considered.

Great Unit
After seeing everyone buying these cheapo generators, I did alot of research and found this one. Comparing the features, quality and price for what you get, this unit is the one if you want both standby power with out sacrifice and portability for other uses or even helping out family and friends in need!

Nice product but it dosen't run
Just put together a new unit. Everything looks great and it went together easily. When I went to start it, it would crank but failed to run, DOA. It is now back for repair, hope it works after.
Nice product but questionable Quality Control.
Turned out to be rubber and paint in the gasline, blocking fuel.

Great unit
Prior to purchasing the XG10000E I had read all of the on-line reviews so I was prepared for all of the assembly/set up issues that others had mentioned in their reviews. It took me a total of 45 minutes to set it up and get it running. I wanted a unit large enough to live comfortably when the power goes out and this one fit the bill.
Yes, the unit is heavy but you can assemble the unit by yourself while it is on the pallet and swivel it around to get the wheels and front leg installed. I had purchased a funnel with attached hose from Pep Boys so I was prepared to add the oil. Without a flexible hose it will be difficult to add the oil. It took only 1.5 quarts to fill it. I put dielectric grease on the battery terminals and connected them. The battery terminals were a little tedious to attach but not terrible. I added 7.5 gallons of gas treated with Sta-Bil since most people had a problem starting their unit without at least 5 gallons or more of gas in the tank. I turned the fuel on, pulled out the choke, hit the start button for about 5 seconds and it started on the first try.
Nothing was missing from the box and the unit seems like it is of very good quality. It was quieter than I had expected for such a large unit. It did come with 2 extra spark plugs and an air and oil filter and enough Sta-Bil to treat 2.5 gallons of gas. While I was at the store purchasing two 5 gallon gas cans ( I highly recommend the Eagle 5 gallon metal cans! Research before you buy!) and Sta-Bil I also purchased 2 quarts of 30 weight oil so I will be prepared to change the oil at 30 hours. The unit actually has an oil cooler which I thought was impressive and comes with a plug in battery charger which is OK but shouldnt be left plugged in for more than a day or two at a time. I will be looking into purchasing an automatic trickle charger like a Battery Tender which can be left plugged in at all times so I wont have to worry about it. Since there is not a pull start on this unit you wouldnt want to let the battery go dead.
The electrician will be here to install the 50 amp 10 circuit manual transfer switch and I will be powering 2 refrigerators, a well pump, garage door opener, gas boiler and hot water heaters, gas range, living room including lights, TV and stereo system, and various lights in bedrooms and bathrooms. This will probabaly draw about 8000 watts at peak by my estimate but will review with my electrician to make sure I will not overload the unit.
Now I just have to figure out how to protect it from the weather and theft when it is in use. It should not be ran in an enclosure so I will probably run it under a large tarp suspended at least 5 feet above the unit. As far as protecting it from theft a heavy duty chain and lock somehow fastened to the house is probably the way I will go.
It is definitely a nice unit for the money and has enough power to allow you to live comfortably through an outtage. While I was at the store purchasing the gas cans the employee helping me was raving about his Generac telling me he ran it 14 days straight after Sandy hit without a hiccup.
