Excellent performance for just over 6 day during Irene
My system is actually a 15kw which I purchased 7 years ago. It functioned flawlessly with continuous operation for just over 6 days. It was only stopped every other day to check/top off the oil. It operated all of the essential systems identified below. This is a quality produce that I have been recommending to everyone all week. It is 'no muss; no fuss' and well worth the investment especially for women who are single head of household. Thank you Generac!

Peace of Mind
It is a great feeling to know that during a power outage we have nothing to worry about with our whole house generator. Seamless transition to and from conventional power and worth every penny!

Peace of mind!
Although we have not had to use it yet, every week when that generator "checks itself" I feel great peace of mind knowing that it is there and ready to work if and when we lose power.

Brand New
Unit just installed. Very satisfied w/installation. On test runs seems to be performing fine. Have not a chance to use it in a real power outage, but would expect it to work fine.

Should have done it years ago
Purchased a 14KW Generac in the summer of 2012 after the second week without power that summer. Installed it myself with the easy to follow instructions. It has started and done the weekly test cycles on time. Finally got a chance to have it work taday when without warnig the power suddenly went out. Within 30 seconds the generator kicked on an worked great. Highly recommend to anyone... no more cold showers, cold nights or spoiled food... Thanks Generac for a truly great product

14kw generac
After loosing power last year for 4 1/2 days, I purchased a 14kw for my house. Runs on natural gas, test runs every week. We have been waiting for a power outage, to see how it responded. Today I had main power return after 60+ hours of being offline. The generac started and maintained my whole house without a single problem. I shut down twice to check the oil, and it picked up and started again like nothing happend. Would recommend to anyone to purchase a whole house generac. So much easier, no fuel to carry, no worry about running out of fuel.

Product Failure
New 14kW Guardian generator was installed and 2 days later hurricane Sandy hit and we lost power. The generator ran for 4 days then stopped due to an "RPM sense loss" leaving us with no power for days. Tech Support indicated this required a service call which would take several weeks. I will probably buy a small backup generator to avoid future problems - sort of defeats the purpose of owning a standby generator.
