Well worth the money.
The utility power were I live is less than reliable. Everyone in the area has a whole-house generator so I knew I'd better get one too. It's a high quality, good looking product. Performed flawlessly during the test out. I'm sure it's going to perform just as well when really needed. I'm proud to own a product this nice. Also, I have to mention that all the generators in my area ar Generacs. The name is highly regarded and highly recommended around here.

It had the quiet test and was able to handle all my electrical power needs.
We had lost power 9 times during the year. When the hurricane hit and then the October 29 blizzard in the Northeast I decided to by a generator. Trying to live without power for 8 days was a nightmare. After reading on them and speaking to the people at Generac I chose Generac. It just made sense. They knew their product and I felt comfortable in purchasing this product. The 20 KW generator met all my needs. It was able to power refrigeration, AC, lights, and most important are well pump. Also for the size it is remarkably quiet. It was one of the best purchases I have made.

Trouble in River City
I have had the generator for a year. It has broken 2 times. This last time the repair company has been trying to fix it for over a month. He continues to order parts trying to find out what is wrong. I travel alot and my elderly mother is here alone. I bought this to ensure the electric does not shut off. The area I live is prone to blackouts. Please help. I need a replacement. This is a lemon.

20KW Runs the whole house!
We purchased this unit for complete house power when an outage occurs. My wife and I both work from home and I was getting tired of setting up and putting away the portable generator every time the power went out. It was also not "Wife Friendly". After choosing a dealer off of the Generac's dealer list we decided to go for it. Everything went flawlessly the first time around. During the operational testing, when the electricians and Utility reps were there, we kept turning more things on attempting to max it out. We had more things on at once than we would ever use during real life use and it handled it without problems. We are on the end of the power line and are one of the last homes to get power restored during an outage.
We also purchased the Nexus Wireless Monitor and are happy with it but only wished it had the ability to turn the generator off from inside of our home in case of an emergency.
We are very happy with the ease of installation and the generator itself and would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone.
Bottom line: This was not an inexpensive proposition, but now we have peace of mind.

Great esthetic design & features...
Great product. My Mom has one. My cousin has one. Several neighbors have them. My wife & I had to have one! Can't wait to use it.
Our installer was great. No muss! No fuss! He was in & out in less than 2 days with a spectacular job well done. I would recommend the product & my installer without hesitation.

This product does exactly what I wanted.
I researched many different brands and even though some other brands have a 5 year warranty and Generac a 3 year, I still think that Generac provides more value for the money.
My installers (Long Electric Frederick, MD and Southern States Petroleum) did an excellent job. The testing of the unit not only ran my whole house but with the base board heat and a/c on at the same time with the dryer, oven, stove top burners, toaster oven, microwave oven and all the lights in the house on provided enough electricity to even run the hot water heater and well pump.
The noise level seems to be no more than the a/c compressor when running.
Have not had an opportunity yet to see it work in an actual power outage. I would recommend this to anyone with an average 200 amp service.
I purchased two 100 gal. propane tanks which will enable me to purchase propane from anyone I want but for now will stay with Southern States.
