HTS Transfer Switch
The Generac HTS transfer switch is a microprocessor-based design for operation in conjunction with the PowerManager® H-100 controller. HTS switches communicate via a RS485 communication link to the controller. Utility voltage and frequency are monitored by the HTS switch. Switching techniques are selectable for in-phase monitoring or delayed-transition. All timers and voltage set points are remotely programmable via GenLink® communications software.

External LED displays on the outside of the door show the position of the switch position, indicate when the generator is operating and whether or not the utility is available. An external, 3-position test switch allows testing in either normal or fast mode without opening the cabinet. HTS transfer switches are available in 100 to 2600 amp models with a choice of NEMA 1, NEMA 3R or NEMA 12 enclosures and are rated to all classes of loads.

GTS Transfer Switches
Generac is the only manufacturer of open transition switches to incorporate the two most common switching methods (inphase and delayed-transition) into the same ATS. Our inphase monitor provides safe, fast (160 msec) transfers between two live voltage sources when the source voltages are aligned (within 20°). If voltages are not inphase within an appropriate time, the system will automatically revert to the time delayed-transition transfer. If the inphase function is disabled, our GTS switches utilize delayed-transition transfer that allows load voltage to decay to a safe level before switching sources.

Generac GTS transfer switches feature status lights that indicate switch position and source status, a programmable weekly exerciser that can be user-configured to transfer on exercise, independent voltage pickup and dropout adjustments and utility monitoring to protect against utility phase loss conditions. Our front access test mode switch allows the entire standby system to be tested in either a normal or fast test mode.

MTS Transfer Switches
The Generac MTS transfer switch is a microprocessor-based design for operation in conjunction with the Generac PowerManager® G-200 paralleling generator controller. The MTS switch has a 2 wire RS485 communication link to the system controller with a redundant 2-wire start should the communication link fail. Utility voltage is monitored by each MTS. Switching techniques are selectable for in-phase monitoring or delayed-transition. All timers and voltage set points are remotely programmable via GenLink® communications software.

Switch operation is controlled by the G-200 controller and all timers and voltage set-points are programmable via GenLink® communications software. MTS switches are electrically operated and mechanically held and feature a single coil, dual-operation design, an external 3-position test switch, programmable exercise time, conformal coating to protect the circuit board, trip to neutral load shed capability and permissive input. MTS transfer switches are rated for all classes of loads and are UL 1008 Listed.

CTTS Transfer Switches
Generac closed transition transfer switches (CTTS) eliminate momentary power interruption during transfers when both power sources (utility and generator) are present. The CTTS monitors the voltage of both power sources, and when inphase, instantly and seamlessly transfers the load. "Failure to synchronize" and "ATS locked out" indicator lamps keep the operator well informed. Redundant circuitry monitors and prevents extended paralleling of two power sources and the independent operators for each source are electrically operated and mechanically held.   Spec Sheet

Key applications for CTTS transfer switches include interruptible power rate customers, storm mitigation, applications requiring monthly load testing and critical process applications.

TTS Series Transfer Switches
Generacs new TTS Series transfer switches offer wireless telecom providers and other commercial businesses more options when selecting a backup power system. Whether your site calls for a permanently mounted standby generator, a mobile genset, or a combination of both, these switches offer complete flexibility and value while maximizing the reliability of your backup power solution. Both switches feature Cam-Lok® connectors, allowing each to easily connect to a mobile power source. They also feature locking NEMA 3R enclosures so they can be installed outdoors if necessary.

TAS200 – 200amp Three-Source Automatic Transfer Switch
The TAS200 transfer switch is unique in the industry in that it is a three-source switch: 1) service entrance rated to deliver full utility power to the site, 2) can function as an automatic switch to deliver power from a stationary backup generator, 3) and offers manual operation for use with a mobile backup power source if necessary. The result is superior redundancy and application flexibility. Generator Controllers

R-Series Digital Controllers
The R Digital Controller with built-in governor control and voltage regulator monitors utility voltage, oversees transfer switch operation and controls the Quiet-Test™ low speed exercise feature. LED indicator lights display system status and faults such as overcrank, overspeed, high coolant temperature, low coolant level, low oil pressure, and low battery voltage.

Should a critical fault occur, our solid-state sensing and starting control automatically shuts down the engine, disconnects the starter motor and prevents re-engagement. The system also provides cyclic cranking for improved starting reliability and cranking termination for starter motor protection.

PowerManager® H-100 Controller
The PowerManager H-100 Digital Controller is not only ahead of the competition, it's ahead of it's time. With 32-bit processing power, this advanced controller integrates multiple functions including two-way communication with the automatic transfer switch, isochronous engine speed control and automatic voltage regulation with over-voltage protection and variable voltage/frequency settings. Two, 4-line x 20-character LCD displays keep the operator well informed of all vital functions, including alternator frequency, kW, kVA, power factor and three phase voltage.

This innovative digital controller comes equipped with RS232 and RS485 communication ports and is capable of remote monitoring with the addition of an optional modem or Ethernet and GenLink software. With additional features such as built-in PLC functions for user inputs and outputs, data logging, trending and automatic service reminders, it's easy to see why the PowerManager H-100 is at the head of its class.

PowerManager® G-200 Controller
The PowerManager Digital Control Platform (DCP) represents one of the most significant advances ever seen in standby power generation. Engineered as an integrated, flexible platform with product specific software modules, the PowerManager DCP can be configured as single genset controller (PowerManager G-100) a parallel generator controller (PowerManager G-200), or a master system controller (PowerManager G-200SC) for Modular Power Systems.

The PowerManager G-200 replaces mutiple generator controllers and eliminates bulky and expensive paralleling switchgear. Features of the G-200 include integrated PLC logic and programming capabililty, multiple user defined inputs and outputs, communication via Modbus or CANBus, remote display capability, simple touch screen programming, remote software updating, alarm and event logging with real time stamping and built-in diagnostics. A built-in modem with dial out capability or ethernet add-on provides remote interface using our GenLink software.

RTS Series Transfer Switches
With the RTS transfer switch, you can choose to cover every circuit all the time or only essential circuits when paired with a generator sized to your application. RTS open transition transfer switches are ideal for residential, commercial and light industrial applications. Standard RTS transfer switches feature NEMA 3R enclosures for indoor or outdoor use.

Managed Power Transfer Switches

More coverage with less generator.

Gain up to complete power protection without a substantial increase in investment through smart power management. If it is unlikely all electric devices or appliances need to be on at the same time (usually they don’t), a smaller generator paired with a Generac Nexus™ load management transfer switch provides complete circuit coverage through a managed power solution. The process is simple - non-essential circuits are shed to eliminate overload when the generator approaches maximum capacity, and are then cycled back on when essential circuits are satisfied.

Generac LTS
Get more coverage from a smaller generator paired with the load shedding capabilities of the Generac LTS transfer switch, the answer when more than six large loads need to be managed.

The Generac LTS is designed to allow for the most efficient use of the generator by monitoring and managing the backed up essential and non-essential circuits. If the generator approaches overload condition, the non-essential circuits are cycled off, allowing essential circuits to remain powered. It features a built-in, 16-circuit priority load center, a main contactor that protects the essential circuits and a secondary contactor that protects non-essential circuits.

Essential Circuit Transfer Switches

Cover just the basics.

If your backup coverage concern during a power outage is simple, such as security or lighting, you may only need to cover a minimal number of circuits. Smaller kW units paired with an RTS transfer switch are ideal for these applications and require little capital investment.

Pre-Wired Switch
Generac’s Pre-Wired Switch is an automatic transfer switch and distributed load center that backs up selected circuits for essential circuit coverage. Pre-wired for the easiest and least expensive installation on the market, they are an excellent value when whole house coverage is unnecessary.
