The following tips are what should be followed to keep yourself safe and your desired surfaces looking clean. What to Wear We recommend you wear goggles to guard your eyes from spray and detergent applications, as well as leather gloves and boots to keep your hands and feet shielded from accidental spray. During the Operation Look Out For: Electrical Hazards As water conducts electricity, keeping the washer’s spray pattern clear of electrical wires or power lines is the easiest way to avoid potential electrocution while preventing damage to your home’s utility power connections. Your Surroundings • Maintain your focus on the task at hand and be aware of your surroundings. • Keep the spray’s path out of harms way from pets and small children. • If someone approaches you during use, lower the spray gun and release the trigger until outside of your cleaning zone. • Never take your eyes off of the power washer while using the product. • Keep the power washer towards only the desired surfaces during use. Application Surfaces • Do not hold the power washer too close to your desired surface – the spray can potentially cause damage. • Stay 1-2 feet away from the desired surface. • Use higher-pressure nozzles with caution – recommended for brick or concrete • Refer to the owner’s manual to ensure you are using the proper nozzles and applicable settings. Hot Mufflers The power washer’s muffler will increase its temperature during operation. Do not make any physical contact or allow the power washer’s hose to touch the muffler’s hot surface. You can avoid any damage or injury by doing so. A hot muffler can also burn or ignite combustible objects within its storage area. Allow your power washer to cool down for at least 30 minutes before returning the unit to storage after use to avoid damage to your home and other valuables.
