Generac Attends BNamericas 5th Infrastructure Summit

BNamericaGenerac attended the 5th BNAmericas Infrastructure Summit in Mexico City, Mexico from 20-21 of April. Each year, the summit offers a variety of industry professionals an opportunity to network and discuss the current state of their respective industry sectors. This year’s topics of interest included Mexico City’s new airport, the Queretaro state rail opportunity and upcoming port expansion.

BNamerica2At the event, Generac announced its expansion into the Colombian market. With utility blackouts commonly occurring across the Colombian power grid, Frank Moreno, Director of Latin American Sales, sees a great deal of opportunity in embracing recent natural gas, liquid propane and diesel growth trends. As a co-sponsor of this year’s event, Generac was able to inflate its international presence while creating business opportunities for both residential and industrial products in 2016 and beyond.

Sales Boosted by Generac Presence at Tool Fest in Grand Cayman

ToolFestGenerac’s excellence in power generation was on display at this year’s Tool Fest in George Town, Grand Cayman. Hosted by Generac retailer, A.L. Thompson, the event was attended by Generac Territory Sales Manager, Del Maccio, who presented and promoted Generac’s pressure washers and residential home standby generator lines. A.L. Thompson’s VP of Operations, Larry Thompson, acknowledged that from a sales perspective, this year’s event was the most successful Tool Fest to date. Generac is proud to be represented by A.L. Thompson and its territory affiliates.


Generac Provides Big Power Protection on Dominican Republic’s Election Day

Election DayThanks to the hard work and dedication of Generac distributor, Equimax, the brand was recently awarded a project in which eight generators were utilized to provide the Dominican Republic with backup power on its Presidential Election Day, 15 of May. Manufactured at Generac’s facilities in Mexico, the four 60kW generators and four 40kW generators that were utilized all featured sound attenuated enclosures and 6-hour tanks. Once they were placed on trailers for mobility, each generator was sent to a specified location for the entirety of the elections.  Generac and Equimax each received high praise after the election concluded without any power issues, and the generators are now owned by the Dominican Republic’s government.


Factory Visits

Generac Executive Team Discusses Growth in Costa Rica

Costa RicaAccompanied by Ricardo Navarro (Senior Vice President- Latin America) and Frank Moreno (Director of Latin American Sales), Generac’s CEO, Aaron Jagdfeld, recently visited Costa Rican dealer, ALCO, in late May to discuss the establishment of a full-time air-cooled training facility at ALCO’s current location. In addition to meeting with ALCO’s Board of Directors, the visit included a tour of ALCO’s facility and an in-depth review of their current business plan. Through the execution of an aggressive sales strategy, ALCO plans on making Generac the leading generator brand in all of Costa Rica.

Generac Dealers Receive Detailed Training in Mexico City

TrainingFrom 12 to 13 of May, representatives from Generac|Ottomotores visited dealers in Mexico to provide hands-on training and product highlights. Presentations took place at the National Chamber of Electrical Manufacturers (CANAME) in Mexico City and focused on the benefits and solutions Generac|Ottomotores’ mobile products have to offer to today’s international markets.

Alfo Visit Sustains Generac’s Ongoing Growth in Mexican Market

AlfoAlessandro Capone, Generac Mobile Product’s Area Sales Manager, recently traveled to Mexico to provide training on Generac’s commercial generators and a variety of Generac Mobile Power’s light towers, pumps, wash racks and dust fighters. Alessandro’s trip also included a visit to Generac dealer, Alfo, to discuss a large order of mobile light towers.
Overall, the trip was a success, as Alessandro’s training expertise and interaction with Generac’s partners continues to pave a path for future growth in Mexico.
