Generac recently hosted its 8th Annual Engineering Power Symposium at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. This three-day event drew more than 170 engineers from top engineering firms to 47 industrial dealers across the country. The theme of this year's symposium, Emergency Power Generation – Generating Knowledge You Can Use, reflects the leading expertise Generac delivers to the field. The symposium consisted of presentations by Generac and guest power-generation professionals, plus five Professional Development Seminar Series (PDSS) courses offered by Generac and distributor experts. During the sessions, participants gained valuable job-related technical knowledge and earned Professional Development credits required to maintain their engineering licenses. "The Engineering Symposium allowed us to rethink the electrical design on a State Prison Project that's under design in Northern California. I have a meeting scheduled next week to review the requirements." – Arizona Generator Technology, Inc.
The agenda also included special product presentations, a question-and-answer panel, and a Generac Showcase in a trade-show-type setting that highlighted our Commercial & Industrial product lines and how they're designed, tested, and manufactured.
Rick Apple, Vice President, Commercial & Industrial, North America attests, "We demonstrated our historical capability to build innovative products for any application, no matter the size, scope, or particular challenges the customer is facing."
The event provided attendees with one-on-one time with our engineering and product development teams. Access to Generac professionals who design products, analyze industry trends, and work with ever-changing government regulations and requirements provided participants with opportunities to expand their technical knowledge. The symposium generated positive feedback and appreciation for the opportunity from many of the attendees. "Thank you for the great time at the Generac Symposium. Our attendees really enjoyed the classes and the factory tours. Each attendee has a renewed vision of Generac; its products and commitment to the power- generation market." – Arizona Generator Technology, Inc.
