Generac Offers Fly-Ins to Provide In-Depth Information About Generac, Product Line

When engineers, electrical contractors and consultants are providing a proposal for a project that includes a large kW generator or complex Modular Power System (MPS), there is a lot at stake … for both the customer, as well as the many professionals involved with the project. Generac’s network of Industrial Distributors can supply a wealth of information about product specifications and if needed, can arrange a fly-in so participants can be part of a “hands on” demonstration of the products and ask questions of key Generac team leaders.

“Fly-ins are typically arranged when there is choice between several suppliers and the customer wants to learn why Generac products are the best choice for their specific application,” said Mike Kirchner, Technical Support Manager, Generac, who typically leads many of the 20-25 annual visits. “In addition, some engineers and customers with specified projects, may desire a better understanding of Generac’s corporate philosophy and commitment, so they are comfortable with the company at every level,” he noted.

The Generac fly-in experience covers a lot of territory including a visit to the Oshkosh facility, where the large kW generators are manufactured, the recently remodeled Eagle facility with state-of-the-art manufacturing cells and production techniques, and a tour through the Waukesha facility. Participants also have the opportunity to start-up some units and ask questions of the engineers and team members who designed and developed them.

“Generac's singularity of focus and commitment to providing reliable power solutions is unmatched in the industry,” said Kirchner. “Our fly-in program is another way to demonstrate that mission and provide assurance in the decision to choose Generac.”
