Expanded Bi-Fuel™ Offering

As announced in the October issue of PowerConnect newsletter, Generac is expanding our Bi-Fuel™ product offering to include 400 kW and 500 kW power nodes in addition to the existing 600 kW node.

Now available is the Generac 500 kW model featuring a Perkins 15.2 Liter engine. The 500 kW Bi-Fuel products will be offered in standalone and MPS configurations, along with all the existing options and features currently offered today on our 500 kW diesel models.

The electronically-controlled Perkins 1800 rpm direct-drive engines have a reputation for performing productively through high power density, while also providing improved engine performance and a lower total cost of ownership due to minimal maintenance and downtime.

The key benefits for this improved Bi-Fuel product line include:

  • Risk mitigation via fuel redundancy
  • Lower total cost of ownership
  • Scalability as part of a modular power system
  • Code compliance
  • Reduced exhaust emissions
  • EPA compliance from the factory

The 400 kW Bi-Fuel models will offer a Perkins 12.5 Liter engine and will be introduced in Q1 2014. For more information on Generac’s Bi-Fuel product offering, or to download the 600 kW or 500 kW spec sheets, click here.
