One problem after another
I had a Generac X7602 installed in my home on a brand new solar array system in December. Since that time the inverter has only worked at its full capacity for three months, March April and May. The first two and a half months the inverter was only seeing less than a tenth of its capacity due to a computer issue that Generac finally located and fixed. The inverter operated at full capacity for the next three months until the end of March when the inverter started giving an error code" PVS link S2502, PVRSS Lockout error". I reported this to my installer who in turn contacted GENERAC with the error. My installer also informed me that mine was not the first GENERAC inverter he has installed that has been having that problem in fact I was the 6th or 7th customer he had with the same issues. He reported the problem to GENERAC who were to create a warranty case to get the inverter repaired. The error apparently points to some bad Snap RS switches that need to be replaced. This all happened the beginning of June. We are now approaching the beginning of July and I am still waiting for GENERAC to supply us with the new switches. The complete system appears to be supplying less than half its capacity and has been for the entire month of June. I have talked to the GENERAC reps numerous times and have been told the switches are on back order. I am surprised that a company that knows it is having problems with switches doesn't have a better supply chain for those switches along with a better response for its customers, not to mention a good explanation as to why the switches are failing. I am having second thoughts about having a GENERAC inverter installed in my house in the first place. I wish the company would spend a little less money on advertising how great their products are and invest more money towards making sure their equipment runs right and customer issues are dealt with in a timely manner.

Low Reliability
I own the PowerCell system with 2 Inverters and 18Kwh since Novrmber 2021. Every single month is an issue with one of the inverters, phone customer service take 25+ min to pickup the phone. Once they pickup the phone, be ready to waste 1hr+ of you time. They have "tried" to help with the same exact result everytime, please call the installer. This is a very expensive system so I expect to work flawlessly but it is not. I am regretting to spend so much money in this system. I am selling my excess of power so I am losing money everytime this does not work. So do the math on equipment cost and money loss. I hope Generac fix the issues as I though this was the best system in thr market, at least on paper.

My system was installed 1st weel of December
Our system with battery backup, was installed through Sanctity Solar the first week of December. (Contract was signed June 2021.)
However, it has never produced electricity. It appears that there is a problem with the Snaps.
But no one really knows as no one from Generic
nor Sanctity Solar LLC has cared enough to check out system to ensure that is the problem. I asked about when warranty starts. Generic said for ME to determine if there is a part under warranty that has malfunctioned.
I do have 2 Generac portable generators that I have had for years that always start when I needed them. Only had to replace a battery on the one with electric start. Thus, I know that it makes great products. I just need my solar to start working.

battery back up and recharging
Please develop a flexible wrap that can be placed around the battery cabinet and plugged in like an electric blanket so the temperature can be controlled and the batteries / cabinet warmed up on cold days. This would allow the batteries to be charged. My battery back up is outside and it would be nice to recharge them during the colder months. Otherwise, the 9K batteries run the whole house for up to 4 or 5 additional hours after the sun goes down and its a good savings.

Cold weather charging inadequate
We installed a 9 kw system in May 2021. The battery cabinet was placed on an outside wall. Things were pretty good until winter set in, when we noticed the batteries were not always taking a charge on sunny days. After a month of erratic charging and several phone calls, the installer informed us the batteries would not charge when it was below about 45 degrees, and Generac was looking at the problem. Modern Li-ion batteries should operate well below freezing temperatures, although at reduced capacity. It will be disappointing if we get a band-aid solution like relocating batteries into the basement or putting a sleeping bag over the cabinet.

Solar+ 2 inverters 15kwh system battery back up
I just got a 15kwh solar panel system with 2 Generac inverters and the pwrcell. I have it set to sel sufficient. The batteries are 100% charged and it’s now night time yet the home is running on grid power… and there are 0 resources to change it to battery back up scheduled at night. Also the app is awful no help whatsoever. You’d think with the price tag on this product there would be more help on this. Your website. Boasts the app controls the system… the app shows you what’s going on with it kind of. Can’t control anything from the app. No trouble shooting on the app. HOW DO I GET IT SO BATTERY BACK UP AUTOMATICALLY KICKS IN WHEN NOT ON SOLAR!!! You shouldn’t need a tech to come out to do something that should be relatively simple.

Cold Battery
We had a system installed and running for about 10 months now. We have a 22kw Generac and solar with batteries. At time of install was told the generator was not able to recharge the batteries, would be nice if it could do that.
The system runs well and no complaints, but one. Recently had a problem where the batteries were not recharging during the day. After talking with the techs I learned it's because of the cold weather. Seems when the batteries get below a certain temperature they don't like to recharge. I wasn't told this prior to install or I might have changed the setup. We are having some cold spells here now with freezing temperatures. Today, finally above 50F and the batteries just started recharging.

Needs a little bit more...
Been running PwrCell since March 2021 and tied into solar panels. Works well, minus issues with PV Links. Been having to have them replaced every two to three weeks like clockwork. However, the application needs to have some sort of alerting capability or more user monitoring of the equipment. Great product, just needs a little bit more
