Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken Parts and No Service PWRCELL works ok. Solar panels, PV links and snap coupling seems to be a poor design because these break yearly. PWRCELL can’t charge without the solar working. It would be nice for an option for wind to charge as a back up to the poor performing solar.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont waste your money on this product For the second time within two weeks Generac parts have been faulty and now cause me to not utilize my solar system because their faulty inverter installed within the last three weeks is now waiting on parts for the second time to "hopefully" work. When called for answers on parts I was told they could not provide me the homeowner the information on my system repair. Summary: Faulty equipment and possibly the worst customer service with regards to actually taking care of the consumer. The day the system was set to go live it crashed and does not work at all!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You'll be lucky if it works for more than a couple of weeks I've had these products for about 3 years now, and during those 3 years I think everything has worked for maybe a grand, combined total of six months. PVcells, the inverter, the battery- theyve all experienced a nonstop parade of errors and failures. On top of the shoddy product, Generac will also less than helpful. One of our most recent issues (I would love to say 'most recent' but this morning our PVlinks were giving us errors, again) was our battery experiencing an error which disconnected it from the system. I spend months, four months to be exact, going back and forth with Generac. I kept being told a part was on backorder, or this or that had been escalated, or their "tech guys," were looking at it. FINALLY they send someone out, who performed perform a very simple fix they said generac could have done themselves. So, fourth months waiting, calling, and stressing just because no one at generac could be bothered to actually look at my case. This is just the tip of the iceberg, but illustrates the bigger issue- these products dont work reliably, and Generac doesnt seem to have much of an interest in honoring their commitment. The solar company who installed them for us is filing for bankruptcy and also suing Generac, blaming their products and failures to abide by their commitments. At first, I didnt know who to blame for my system being garbage but now after dealing with Generac for about a year that answer is obvious: Generac is the problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have a Generac power cell installed December 20 I cannot recommend Generac power cell. I have had constant problems with the system. Had multiple work orders requested. It took many weeks for the repairs and had to come back multiple times for the same repair. My system has been down more than it has run in the last two years. I have gone to the company that Generac recommended for service and found a Generac did not give them a work order. Therefore, it was a waste of that company’s time and the problem is not fixed. When the company the Generac requested to do the repairs came to my house. They had to wait on hold for as much as two hours for a Generac technician to tell them how to do repairs. I am still paying my electric bill because of the lack of service from Generac. I do not recommend this system for anybody

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer be aware! My system has been installed for two years and still, to this day, breaks ever time it rains. Complete pos. It is one of the most expensive regrets of my life.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overall low-quality equipment not market-ready We have the Generac PWRCell system with storage battery. The first inverter we had installed was bad and they had to install a new one. Our PV Links blew internal fuses that caused them not to work. Fuses are a great safety feature, but it turns out the cause was the bad SnapRSs. The 1st generation of SnapRSs were bad and caused our system to lose all production for about 6 months while waiting for Generac to mfr replacements. Currently our battery has a blown fuse. The fuse has been on backorder from Generac for 8 months. So we've been without battery backup since then. We also have the Smart Management Modules installed on our 220V circuits. The module on our car charger circuit went bad about 2 months ago, so we've been without home car charging since then. The technician who recently came out to diagnose the issue said it will realistically be about 4 months to go back and forth with the Generac warranty department. We've had our system for about 3 years now, and it's been down or at reduced capacity for about 18 months. It's astounding that a company with a seemingly good reputation could sell such an incredibly bad product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had a bad reset inverter code. Called the 800 number completely expected it to be a are you at home try this.... Nope, They had it reset over the phone without me doing a thing in under 3 minutes. FANTASTIC!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! PWRcell is a complete waste of money. Hate it. Was not installed correctly and has NEVER worked correctly. There is no authorized service dealer listed within 200 miles. Been dealing with this (or not!) for almost three years. It may be a liability when I try to sell this house. Wish I had not had it installed. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!
