Generac Corporate Hosts Engineering Symposium

Generac hosted its 8th Annual Engineering Symposium from 1 to 4 of May at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. More than 170 engineers from the United States’ top engineering firms and 47 of Generac’s industrial dealers attended the event to observe presentations by Generac representatives and guest power-generation professionals. The symposium also featured five Professional Development Seminar Series (PDSS) courses offered by Generac and distribution experts to help acquire Professional Development credits required to maintain their engineering licenses.

From product demonstrations to one-on-one opportunities with Generac’s engineering and product development teams, this year’s symposium generated positive feedback and appreciation from event attendees.  

 

Generac Hosts 2nd Engineering Speaker Series

On 16 of June, Generac hosted the second installment of its 2016 Engineering Speaker Series at its corporate headquarters outside of Milwaukee, WI. Utilizing 30 years of design experience in the engine generator industry, Technical Expert, Jeff Jonas, discussed design considerations for the reliable and safe operation of stationary gensets with over 50 engineers from the Greater Milwaukee area.

Designed for industry leaders to share their stories, insights and advice, the Engineering Speaker Series provides industry professionals with an opportunity to observe technical presentations and network with the engineering community. Generac Industrial Power Embarks on 14th Power Trip Experience Tour

In June, Generac Industrial Power sent its 53-foot fully interactive trailer out on a tour of North America that will end in March of 2017. Making weekly stops at Generac Industrial Power Distributors throughout the United States and Canada, this year’s trailer is equipped with a 16-seat theater to educate visitors on Generac’s contributions to natural gas technologies and modular power systems. Visitors can also participate in the Generac Professional Development Series to earn CEUs or PDHs.

Having traveled more than 1 million miles to welcome nearly 25,000 visitors over the last 13 years, Generac is anxious to discuss the flexibility and scalability of power solutions offered as well as paralleling capabilities with visitors across North America in the months to come.

Adventure Sporting Advocates Endorse iQ2000

Generac’s iQ2000 portable inverter generator was recently put to the test by Gerico Vizmanos of ExploringElements.com. Generally unfamiliar with the benefits that a portable power source can provide, Gerico was pleasantly surprised by the iQ2000’s innovative features and quickly gained an understanding of the benefits a portable power source can provide to adventure sporting.

Generac SVP of Marketing Appears on Rural America Live

On 2 of June, Generac’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Clement Feng, appeared on RFD-TV’s Morning Report on behalf of Generac to promote an upcoming appearance on Rural America Live where he would discuss back-up power for agricultural business.

Later that evening, Clement accompanied hosts of Rural America Live for an hour-long segment on storm preparedness and the importance of back-up power. Joining Clement, was Director of Residential Product Management, Jake Thomas, and Director of Sales, Chris Dilday, who detailed the intricacies of Generac’s back-up power products including the 22kW home-standby generator and iQ2000 portable inverter generator.

The team gave a detailed analysis of recent weather patterns, discussed the importance of having homes and businesses prepared for future power failures, and outlined the sustainability provided by Generac products to the farming and agricultural industry. The appearance was a huge success and gave Generac the ability to extend our expertise into a vital North American industry.
