Used 5 times Junk
We used this washer 5 times and the pump quit working and the gasket between the motor and pump went out. Tried returning to Menards and they said it was past 30 days to contact General. After multiple calls and no help. They suggested three dealers to contact. Which the first was out of business. The other two are a 200-400 mile trip away!! Very disappointed and will not buy or suggest this brand!

Happy then not happy
I purchased my Generac 006565, 4200PSI Pressure washer thru DR Equipment online. I was purchasing a lawn vacuum and saw this Pressure Washer was on sale, so I ordered it also.
I was very happy when I received it. It was very well packaged for shipment. I put it together and put it to work. I washed my deck and a big outdoor rug. Then I washed the UTV and my riding mower. It worked flawlessly. It ran as smooth as silk and has great pressure. I used it the next weekend with the same results. The next time I went to use it, it was a big job. I was pressure washing my house. I started and worked back and forth between applying soap, then pressure washing it. The soap nozzle works great.
Then I took my lunch break. I came back out to start again. I flipped the switch, adjusted the throttle, a little choke and give it a pull. then a second pull I got a little fire, but it did not start. I reached over to shut off the choke and gave it a pull and.... The pull starter did not engage with the motor. I pulled on it several times and nothing. I gave it a couple of taps with my hand, but still no engagement. I went and got my 8mm tee handle and took the pull starter off. In the bottom of the fan shroud was two pieces of metal. It was one of the arms that comes out to engage the motor. It was broken. I could not find any other pieces. I understand that mechanical things break, even new things break.
Here is where the problem really begins. I called DR Equipment. I had my order number and model and such, they were very nice, but told me they could not help me because it was a Generac and that I would have to call Generac to take care of this problem. Ok, I understand. So I waited until they were open on Monday and I called. I spent 40 minutes or so on hold. The person who answered was very nice, and she told me I would have to contact a local distributor. I did not know of one. She asked for my zip code, I gave it to her, and after some time she came back and gave me the name of a company. She said I would have to load it up and take it to them. I asked if there was any other way to deal with this as that would be a 50-mile round trip and I would have to load this in the back of my truck. I was told this is the only way. I said ok. When I got home I placed the call to this company and they are out of business. The phone is disconnected. I have now used work time to get to where I am and I am not any closer to getting my new machine running again. Now I will go spend my time on hold and try again.

My second Generac washer
I had a Generac 2700 psi 2.3 GPM washer for 7 years and it worked always well. Sold it to upgrade and since I had very good experience with this brand I chose a Generac 4200 psi / 4.2 GPM commercial model. This is a beast and very powerful. Features and performance are first rate I would not even look at other brands. Very happy.
One issue soured the experience though ... I would recommend against buying direct from Generac and buy locally or from amazon. The freight and LT delivery process is very slow and uncoordinated. Took almost two weeks to get the washer to us and the LTL forwarder from the national freight chain took almost three days from receiving the washer to get it to us. No communication in the process either. The freight and delivery process is hot mess! Buy from somewhere where you are sure of how the washer gets to you!

Better than any power washer I have used in the past
I wanted a power washer with more power and the Generac 6565, with 4200 PSI and 4 GPM definitely delivered! Over the years I have owned or rented power washers with max 3800 PSI and 2.8 GPM but nothing compares to this machine. I cleaned my deck and siding, with less effort and in half the time, using my new Generac 6565. I highly recommend this machine!

Generac Value Continues
The 6565 is a very robust and reliable pressure washer. Be very careful when using as it will damage softer materials.
This pressure washer has a compact design and is very powerful for cleaning anything. The engine starts first pull almost every time and seems to be reliable.
The 6565 is a great value for the work it does.

Awesome unit, lots of power
All the power that I needed to power wash a 100 year old barn clean enough to have a family reunion. Did an excellent job and was very quick to get done. Would recommend this unit to anyone with a big cleaning project.

love it so far
This is a heavy duty tool fit for all tasks I can think of. Any final review is contingent upon how it weathers through winter storage, if the pump seals last and the winterizing fluid I purchased from Generac for it works well, then we should be all good. I am worried about storing it in sub-zero temperatures.
I love the convenient storage location of the various nozzles, and the wand is nicely designed.
Minor complaints:
the suction tube for detergents floats, need a way to have this stay submerged in the bottom of a bucket/bottle. Clamps etc. I've tried just restrict the detergent flow. Maybe a weight of some sort. Also this needs to be kept off the hot engine, I used twist ties strategically placed along the hose.
Second, the main hose is unwieldy, but it's tough to come up with a solution to this - the hose holds a lot of pressure and needs to be sturdy, but that makes it tough to coil/manage. But moreover, this also needs to be kept away from the hot engine. I tried looming it up with what appears to be a plastic hangar (perhaps intended for this purpose?) near the wand storage area, but this wore and ultimately broke due to the high stress the hose puts on it. Some sort of a sturdy loom is needed to keep the hose from getting destroyed by contact with the hot engine. This is admittedly not a huge risk, as the frame around the engine does a decent job of preventing incidental contact, but it can happen, and when you're busy working you can't easily babysit the hose.
Lastly, for anyone washing large patio/deck areas, the rotary attachment is an absolute godsend. This thing works, and is a great value. It literally reduces job time by 400% or more.
Keep in mind this is a serious tool - my wife is too small to handle this thing - it pushes enough force to jerk the wand and push her. It does what it's designed to do, but the hobbits in your life may wish to stick with a garden hose.
