We had our generator installed today by Young Guns Electric and were extremely impressed with the professionalism and knowledge they provided. Our unit came in sooner than expected, the installation was flawless and the provider was very personable, We would recommend Generac to anyone looking for excellent service.

Peace of mind, thank you
Power outages that last days and sometimes weeks are a regular occurrence during storms in my area. I live alone, and dealing with the most recent outage, convinced me I was getting too old to carry on without the help of an automatic generator. I am pleased with the product & the entire process, site visit, installation, etc. went very smoothly. Having a whole house Generac is a terrific relief, & gives me great peace of mind going forward.

Great Installation by Lee Legler
Our Generac dealer and install crew was Lee Legler Construction & Electric, Yorkville, IL. Lee, Terry, Mia and Lee's installation crew were a pleasure to do business with. Lee's crew were very easy to deal with and was very professional, very detailed and thorough. From what I have been told is Lee and his crew install one Generac every day of the week. They were on time and immediately got to work with our installation. Very patiently explained how the transfer switch worked and cleaned up everything when done. I can absolutely recommend this business for your purchase and installation.

One small drawback
Just had the Generac model 7226, 18 kW home standby generator installed and am very pleased with it. The one small drawback is the Status LED indicator light is on the right side of the unit, away from my street view. The unit should be designed to move the Status LED indicator light to the left side of the unit if needed to view it from the street.

Worked like a charm
FYI - the only reason I gave a low score on installation is the electrician our home builder used didn't know what they were doing. Once the authorized Generac company came out and fixed the issue, we are totally satisfied.
Strong storms/tornados came through our area about a month ago (12/9). After lots of flickering, at 5:16 pm our power went out. The dog and I were in the closet due to a tornado warning. By the time my husband walked across the house, the power had come back on. I thought it just another flicker, he said "No, that's the generator". It ran until about 1:50 am. We are so glad we have a Generac Generator. There may be some future sales in our neighborhood soon and we have recommended Capital Electric to everyone.
