We had our Generac 20kW and whole house switch installed in March 2014. Ever since the install we have been hoping for the power to go out (strange yes but wanting to test the investment). Finally the power went out during a thunderstorm Sept. 1st. The generator started confidently just like it does on it's weekly exercise runs. We were so pleased that we did not need to drag out the old portable generator. During the 6 hours of outage we ran, 3 TVs, 3 computers, the dishwasher, the AC, 2 fridges, 1 freezer, the sump pump, the well pump, the garage door and almost every light in the house at varying times. The Generac never missed a beat and was so quiet when it was time for bed nobody complained like they did with our old portable. Fantastic product. Exactly why my parents and in-laws installed their's a few years ago.

Just finished 12 days of flawless power after Sandy
After last year's hurricane here on Long Island knocked out power for several days leaving our sump pumps useless, we purchased the 20k unit...couldn't have imagined it would be running for 12 days straight less then a year later!
Our power does get knocked out pretty regularly, and just last month the unit was running for 5 hours. I recently had the radio remote installed, right by my home alarm keypad. I'd highly recommend it, as it gives you the added peace of mind knowing the unit is ready to go without going outside and opening up the unit.
Excellent unit, would highly recommend it.

I am so happy that I chose Oak and Generac for my home
Oaks' team made the pre-prep totally effort free. They did it all.
The interaction with my gas company, permits, everything, my efforts were zero. The installation took 6 hours and their team leader was great. I don't know when I have ever spent such an amount of money with a perfect result.

Outstanding performance and reliability
Bought our house with this generator this summer. Snowstorm this week. Generator has been running steadily for 6 days. Very good performance. Really like the propane engine so that I’m not lugging fuel tanks too.

Great Quality Product
Very pleased with our 20kw generac. We live in a rural area where we have saw power outages last up till two weeks. This generator gives us peace of mind with all out deep freezers full of meat. Runs our whole house just fine. I would recommend anyone that can afford one to go ahead and get one. I have wanted one for years just hated to spend the money for it. Was money well spent when im away at work and the power is off with a family is hard. Not anymore i can montior it right from my phone and look at the status. Family can carry on just like the power isnt off. Dont let anyone cut any corners on installation make them do quality work and everything will be safe. Thanks Generac!

Great features
Just had this installed. Worked perfectly, I have a 1900 square foot home, had ac and dryer running during the load test, I didn’t turn anything off. Unit ran smoothly and perfectly. We live in hurricane prone area, in my opinion, this is a must have.
