Terrible generator warranty
Two year old generator. Controller failed last week while doing the recommended firmware update. Part is covered under warranty. Electrician diagnostic charge and installing the controller is not. Just had to fork out $250. for a two year old Generac 22k unit.

Quick and easy process
Kudos to all involved in our generator installation. From Mike who initially came to our home and got the ball rolling to Ann who kept us apprised of the process as things progressed then checked on us after the installation to Mike and AAron who actually installed the generator. Special thanks to Mike and Aaron who worked in very hot and humid conditions. We could not be happier with the ease of the process and the quality of all the individuals we interacted with. Thanks to all!!!

Bad quality control
A brand new generator should not leak oil. Should not come with mangled wire terminals. Should not have cross threaded screws. Should not have loose screws. Should not have large internal scratches.

Less than 2 years old still under warranty and has not worked in 3 months. Every time service tech comes it’s not covered and still not working. Last year during hurricane it stopped working and last 3 months still not working, but cost me over a thousand $$$ for service calls - new battery& cables -circuit board due to a lizard ( how -isn’t transfer panel weather tight ) engine lifter’s adjustment. Why does it take 2 weeks for parts

keeps throwing error codes
i have my generator on a maintenance schedule my technician does not whats causing the error.About once a week i have to clear the code. the code is rpm loss. can you help with the problem? Thanks Willie

Finding manual and registration of products
Seams to be a good item, however support stinks. I tried to download manual and spent over half an hour searching for it and came up with nothing. Tried by serial number and by model number. If you want to see complicated, go to Generac web site
Do not bother to try to register the generator. Tried to, and after over an hour seeing Processing Please Wait on the screen I gave up

Generator has not worked properly since it was bought in 2019. We have had 7 so called tecs, working on it and the only thing they do is hand us a bill. The only thing theyknow how to do is change the easy parts, not a one knows how to analize the generator and pin point the problem. When ever the temps go above 70 deg. the red light comes on and a1505 code is shown. The same code comes up every time after it runs a weekly exercise.
