Who Should Upgrade?

The 4G LTE accessory is the perfect device for homeowners who have no access to Wi-Fi service, have unreliable internet service from their Internet Service Provider, or who prefer the reliability of a cellular connection. It can be installed on any Generac, Honeywell, Eaton or Siemens air-cooled or liquid-cooled home standby generator up to 150kW, 2010 or newer.
(PowerPact and Pre-Nexus Models not supported)

Once you’re connected to the Mobile Link service, you can increase your generator’s reliability even further by signing up for a dealer-managed plan. When you sign up for a dealer-managed plan, your service dealer will have access to real-time notifications whenever maintenance is required or a problem occurs. With a dealer-managed plan, your generator is always ready to go, without you needing to lift a finger.

How to sign up for a dealer-managed plan

1. Talk to your service dealer about setting up a dealer-managed plan.
2. Once you have agreed to a plan through your dealer, you will receive a confirmation request email from Mobile Link.
3. Log in to your Mobile Link account with the credentials provided in the confirmation email. Be sure to change your password once you’ve gained access.
4. Congratulations! Your dealer-managed plan has been set up. Your generator is now being monitored by your service dealer and they will instantly know if a problem occurs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very limited I have many new devices, all provide wifi connectivity for free along with excellent functionality. From garage door openers, music systems, thermostats, universal remotes, etc for no fee. This generac app is worthless in the free version and virtually worthless for the paid version. I paid for the first year, but will not renew. Generator and installation, on the other hand seem great. Almost wishing for power loss, to give it a good try. :-)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Mobile Link is a sad disappointment The following was great, appearance, quality of construction and the key pad set-up was easy. BUT!!! Paying thousands for the generator, and then they make you pay for a WIFI version of the poor app? Why doesn't Generac want happy customers that feel safe and secure? Not at all! They want to suck another $50 to $100 out of you per year. They don't even give you the first year free! The app is so lame and useful only on Apple devices. Why not have a generator monitor for Microsoft based laptops too. Sad. It's definitely the sign of a company that doesn't really get it. The other thing that was disappointing was the WIFI signal strength. 4% is displayed on the set-up screen. The generator is only 50 feet any from our HUB. So even if I had a Apple cell phone it still wouldn't work very well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Im offended One pays thousands of dollars for the generator and then Generac wants to charge $50/yr for an app of questionable value. Shame on you Generac. My car uses my wifi but doesnt charge me a subscription fee. Im so disappointed in Generac.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Limited We have a 27kW Generac that provides power to our entire house, needed because our location (south shore of MA) is subject to intense nor'easters during the winter. We snowbird to FL every winter and I needed the ability to monitor the generator remotely, I researched options and the only really viable option was MoblieLink. The reason is it works via the cellular network, not WIFI. Around here, when we lose power 100% of the time we lose cable, therefore internet, therefore WIFI. So even when everything is down, I still know my generator is functioning. That said, the information you get via MobileLink is really basic. Generator is running, Generator is ready to run. What about time, temperature, fuel, power output, oil, etc.,? It is an engine, knowing this stuff in a critical situation would be really helpful. So it does what I absolutely need it to do. I just wish it had similar capabilities to, say, my $150 WIFI irrigation controller.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Generator is great. Mobile Link is worthless .. and is costing Generac dearly in its reputation. While we are very pleased with the backup generator, we are extremely disapointed with the Mobile Link product, capability, and pricing. After spending more than $15,000 to install a device, in this day and age, one would think it would be able to communicate its status and history to the homeowners via WiFi connectivity without incurring a subscription fee. My smart light bulbs tell me more than Mobile Link. Bottom line: love the generator; really feel burned by the Mobile Link marketing ploys.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sold old technology (3G), to be obsoleted, then it fails!!! Had it installed less than 2 years ago (Fall 2017). Limited functionality compared to some alternatives, but paid the price (hardware and annual fee) for peace of mind despite most of my home systems have zero or low monitoring fee. Cellular unit failed in under 2 years and when speaking with Customer Support (who were helpful, to e clear), they informed me the unit was old technology which Verizon network would shut down imminently. As it was known in 2015 that this would happen as they moved to 4G, selling this for almost $300 was disgusting sharp practice by Generac.
