Verizon wireless will be discontinuing its network support for 3G cellular devices in 2022, and depending on your location, possibly sooner. If your generator uses a Mobile Link CDMA accessory this change will impact your generator’s 3G cellular communication to Mobile Link’s monitoring service, but it will have no effect on your generator’s ability to provide power. Maintaining a robust generator connection ensures that you receive a seamless connection to your generator through the Mobile Link app. This also enables your dealer to provide efficient service through the insights that cellular connectivity provides.


The next generation 4G LTE Cellular Accessory is now available as a replacement for your existing hardware. For a special, lower replacement cost of $249.99 for the device and a new lower yearly subscription of $69.99/year, you will receive a reliable connection to your generator when you need it the most. Similar to a new phone replacement, this device vastly improves upon connection speed and reliability and will continue to be supported by Verizon for the foreseeable future. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Generac Aquired Tank Utility and Mobile Link customer service has been disappointing Generac aquired Tank Utility in October 2021. The WiFi monitor was never dependable and apparently Generac has discontinued the WiFi monitor so they can charge a subscription for the LTE version. Many of us don't have cellular service and LTE cellular service is not an option. Unfortunately, Generac WiFi Mobile Link customer service has been disappointing and has demonstrated they are not dedicated to ensuring customer peace of mind with a quality WiFi tank monitoring product.

Hopefully nothing bad happens where we HAVE to use it but if we do need power now we have it. We had 2 BAD storms within 2 month & were without power for several days each time as were many others. Praying there are no more storms but we are prepared now for it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TANK MONITOR Model #7009 I have know cell service at property, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi calling only .Currently this is a cell based monitor will not connect to WIFI. WIFI monitoring for lp tank, hardware connect to ecobee would be great. I currently have Wi-Fi connection on generic generator that connects to house Wi-Fi to Eco bee for monitoring generator

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor connection Mobiles link is a be ry poorly designed app. Even with a strong wi-fi signal,50-60%, you will get a ‘no single’ message every 1-2 days after reconnection. Very annoyed app. Wast money to install it. Waste time and effort to use the mobile link. I regret to install Generac, instead of other brand generators

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs updates for WiFi My current internet provider switched to a 5ghz router, WiFi for generac guardian is only a 2.4ghz. Some people don’t have almost 400 dollars to spend on a 4G LTE accessory, and 70 dollars a yr. Generator needs update to meet current and modern technology of 5ghz.
