Verizon wireless will be discontinuing its network support for 3G cellular devices in 2022, and depending on your location, possibly sooner. If your generator uses a Mobile Link CDMA accessory this change will impact your generator’s 3G cellular communication to Mobile Link’s monitoring service, but it will have no effect on your generator’s ability to provide power. Maintaining a robust generator connection ensures that you receive a seamless connection to your generator through the Mobile Link app. This also enables your dealer to provide efficient service through the insights that cellular connectivity provides.


The next generation 4G LTE Cellular Accessory is now available as a replacement for your existing hardware. For a special, lower replacement cost of $249.99 for the device and a new lower yearly subscription of $69.99/year, you will receive a reliable connection to your generator when you need it the most. Similar to a new phone replacement, this device vastly improves upon connection speed and reliability and will continue to be supported by Verizon for the foreseeable future. Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product offers some peace of mind when away from home. I have had the existing mobile link system installed for approaching 6 years. I love receiving text messages when the generator is running, particularly if we are not at home. I do, however, believe Generac could improve the service by monitoring the transfer switch as well as the generator. Currently, if there is a power failure, a message is sent that indicates the generator is running. But you need to trust that the transfer switch operated as intended and the loads are actually being provided with power from the generator. This has always seemed like a huge gap in the monitoring process.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outstanding Customer support I had an old CDMA transmitter that needed to be replaced due to Verizon (finally) dropping their 2G service. Our service provider installed the newer 46 LTE device and handed my wife the box with the old transmitter, but did not tell her anything. Since it was trash day I threw out the old transmitter, but fortunately kept the box for the new transmitter. It wasn't until I realized that the generator was not connected to Mobile Link and went online to see what I needed to do , that I realized I needed the serial number of the old transmitter to transfer my service. I went to the Mobile Link website on a Saturday night, seeking help, and honestly did not expect to hear back until some time on Monday (at the earliest). Much to my surprise, I received a response from Customer Support (Nicole) on Sunday morning. She asked for the information on the new 4G LTE transmitter (serial number), she would be able to transfer my service, Within a couple of hours I received an e-mail from Nicole indicating she was able to transfer my service, which I then confirmed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The App needs improvement The app keeps changing. The first version was good, someone changed it again and its very misleading now. When the app is opened its the generator is outlined in red like an alert is present. Its outlined in red with service required, then below its red saying "The Generator has no Alarm". This should be Green if no alarm is present. This is a poor app design, period.

We absolutely love this 13K generator, it gives us reliable service when we need it and while vacationing we don’t have to worry about a power failure that could do thousands of dollars in damages. I would recommend this product to anyone it is in my view an essential product for anyone who takes extended vacations. Thank you Generac for making our time at home and away worry free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the worry-free service The technicians were all very professional and very thorough in their explanations when asked a question. I could not have asked for a more understanding group of people, from the Electric Doctor to the plumber. They worked constantly in very cold weather conditions and I heard not one complaint. I know they put me, as the customer, first, which seems to be in short supply these days. I would definitely recommend Electric Doctor to anyone.
