Who Should Upgrade?

The Wi-Fi / Ethernet Accessory is the perfect device for homeowners who have no access to Wi-Fi service, have unreliable internet service from their Internet Service Provider, or who prefer the reliability of a cellular connection. It can be installed on most Generac, Honeywell, Eaton or Siemens air-cooled or liquid-cooled home standby generator up to 150kW, 2010 or newer.
(PowerPact and Pre-Nexus Models not supported)

Once you’re connected to the Mobile Link™ service, you can increase your generator’s reliability even further by signing up for a dealer-managed plan. When you sign up for a dealer-managed plan, your service dealer will have access to real-time notifications whenever maintenance is required or a problem occurs. With a dealer-managed plan, your generator is always ready to go, without you needing to lift a finger.

How to sign up for a dealer-managed plan

1. Talk to your service dealer about setting up a dealer-managed plan.
2. Once you have agreed to a plan through your dealer, you will receive a confirmation request email from Mobile Link™.
3. Log in to your Mobile Link™ account with the credentials provided in the confirmation email. Be sure to change your password once you’ve gained access.
4. Congratulations! Your dealer-managed plan has been set up. Your generator is now being monitored by your service dealer and they will instantly know if a problem occurs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can they be turned off and on remotely Hello is there a way to power them down remotely with the wifi system. I may not be on the property or even if I am it would greatly help if I could power the Gens down thru the day or especially at night when power isn't needed. Fuel savings and noise cancelling are the biggest issue. these standbys come on then run when not always necessarily needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice to have, but could be improved I love my Generac Generator and mobile link. The whole system just works flawlessly. It's easy to set up and nice to view at anytime on my phone. The app itself is very basic and seems like it could provide much more information. For instance, when it's running it would be nice to know either at what capacity (75%, etc. of max), or better yet how many amps it's currently pulling. This would be useful so that I know if I need to turn off appliances in my house if it is starting to max it out, rather than overload the generator. It seems like the generator would know how many amps it's pulling or the capacity it's running at and would be great if it could be added to the app. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the App Disclaimer: I am a Generac dealer, but also a happy Mobile Link customer. I have had the app for several years now and love the information that it gives me about my generator. As the monitoring dealer, I believe in it so much that I pay for all my clients to have it for the first year. The app gives the owner and dealer peace of mind knowing the generator condition at all times. During a storm, my team and I monitor our Fleet app to make sure all the generators are working properly. If there were to be a problem, we can be on top of it quickly. I thoroughly recommend it to everyone with a compatible generator.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nothing but issues. Bought our generation through a authorized dealer and have had nothing but problems. After initial install generator would not start on automatic mode. After several weeks it was traced to a bad fuel solenoid. First power outage we had during a rain storm and generator refused to start. Traced it to a poorly designed emergency cut off switch on the outside of the generator. This sloppy switch is so weak that HAIL took out my generator by hitting the switch and killing power to the generator!!! Then when shore power went out the generator did not start after the programmed 3 second delay!! Installer placed a hard cover over the switch to prevent future issue. Fast forward three moths and we have another power failure and ANOTHER failure to start. I go outside and trip the main to see if the generator starts and NOTHING!! Reset the main and go look at the generator and it shows a DEAD battery!!! The sad thing is it did a maintenance run earlier in the day. I am NOT happy with the way the generator is performing. After spending what I did you would think I would not have the issues i am having with a new product!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rip-off mobile app My generator is only a week old. It’s already come on because of a power outage. It did a fine job. My complaint is that Generac is greedy. $50/year for their scantily featured mobile app? This should be free. I paid a small fortune for this generator, now they want $50/year for what? Very minor stuff. Not worth it, rude, and a total rip-off. Otherwise, the generator is a fine product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A reliable genny so far My 22kw whole house generator has been in service for a year. It has been reliable throughout our Kalifornia power outages. Seem less and quick transfer of power. I'm generally quite pleased with my purchase. Awesome generator mobile link app not so much at all. I refuse to pay an annual fee for a perfectly useless app, that does not offer any features of value. So much could be added to the app to add incredible functionality, such as the ability to turn off the generator remotely, monitor fuel consumption, wattage output to list a few. If I were to chose which genny to purchase again I would put more weight on wifi ability and connectivity. Come on mobilelink you can do much better than that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Great price! We have not had a power outage since installing our 16kw ng unit. We upgraded to a 200 watt automatic transfer switch from the 100 watt that came with the unit. I tested the generator by turning the transfer switch main breaker off. It worked perfectly. When power goes off the generator starts a few seconds after. After a few second warm up the transfer switch switches from utility to generator power. After seeing that it ran everything without any issues, I turned the transfer switch main breaker back on. After a minute or two the transfer switch switched back over to utility power. The generator ran another minute or two then shut down. According to the manual that procedure prevents the generator and transfer switch from switching on and off as sometimes the utility power is on and off as it is restored by the utility company. I have the generator set to test run automatically once per week. Much nicer than our previous 8kw gas powered unit. It has ran flawlessly each time. Although we do not prefer a power outage, we are looking forward to seeing how it operates for several hours.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Missing one feature for it to be great.... i have had my unit for a year now (20kw) saved me already twice from power failures! It works flawless... love it! However the app is totally useless and there is no way to program a rest preriod or a night schedule, meaning in the event of a 4 day failure the unit will run non stop even all night. Its a huge waste in fuel and noise during the night is not ideal. I wouls have like to shedule it to turn off at night or at least put rest periods... i cant even turn it off and on through the useless app... i have to go outside! My neigbors 300$ unit has a remote!
