Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light weight portable water pump We bought a gas water pump. Model 0069170 to water our lake ice rink. The water flow was OK for our needs. It was easy to put together, but stating it for the first time was a problem. There was a blue prime button that we had tp press 5 times to get the gas into engine. The instructions were not clear and it was difficult to find. We had to remove a side cover to find it. Second time starting it was better. Once started it performed great. We liked that the pump came with all the accessories we needed and the tools to put it together except for a flat screw driver.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok Pump -Pump was easy to set up - not happy with plastic hose fittings -No foot valve -No hose nozzle in Kit ( using pump to flood pond skating Rink) All in All happy with price , Happy with Pump, would have liked better fittings And proper Instructions , The ones in the kit are for a bigger pump. So far I like it , Planning on using it in the summer as well

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK value Have been using regularly for month to flood a rink on a pond. For the price it's ok but... -would not start below -7c. Brought inside to warm up and then started -cheap bracket for stop button cracked after 2 uses. Still works (when grounded) but is dangling... -cheap hoses with plastic fittings make flaky connections and are a source of leaks when not carefully fitted You get what you pay for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awsome pump... plastic fitting broke 1st day. I'm a General Contractor who purchased this pump for de-watering footings in spring, when setting concrete wall forms. I'm also a certified industrial hydraulics instructor for the local community college. Is a good pump. Had issues getting hose clamps tight enough on the suction line... During setup, an imperceptable micro sized leak on the inlet, will stop the pump from working. Field-tightening it probably lead to early fitting fracture and failure. The plastic fitting's should be provided as Brass. Mine broke in the heat of the moment. We know Generac is providing brass fittings in the Extension Outlet Hoses, also purchasable at Menards. I'm sure these are 3rd party fittings easily in Generac's inventory, nevertheless it reflects on Generac. $5 more cost won't matter when compared to driving all around town trying to find replacement fitting,... while my basement sump pump backs up when the power is out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product Got this to pump out my flooded basement it did a good job. Wish the fuel tank was in a different orientation, the way it is set up makes it hard to refuel it after it runs out. Otherwise a great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quiet running engine Even though it's a quiet running engine it doesn't stay running longer than 15 minutes . Very disappointed in the ability to stay running. The engine has approximately six to seven hours of running time total.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from questionable life expectancy I have only used 3 times. Less than 3 tanks of fuel through. The last time using it, It seems to not want to rev up like it used to. Fresh gas and checked the air filter. All good It starts to pop and bog down if you go past half throttle with it. It is still pumping, but not like it did. I don't run it at full throttle, but it was used for brief times when priming, but now it wont rev like it did when first used. I'm not clear on the warranty of this, but unfortunately, I'm just over the year mark now. Nice unit if it would last.
