The Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) Program is a Connecticut-based program that partners with homeowners to harness clean energy during times of peak energy use, to help alleviate stress on the power grid.
During the day, when the sun is shining, your PWRcell captures and stores energy from your solar panels. Then, during peak usage hours, that energy can be deployed to help the grid, while also reserving backup energy to meet your home’s electrical needs.
If you’re a resident of Connecticut and your electricity is provided by Eversource or United Illuminating, you may be eligible to receive up to a $7,500 upfront incentive offered by ESS1, plus additional ongoing payments. These utility-issued payments are based on the output, or performance, of your battery during the program. This means it’s possible you could receive a lower payment amount if your system underperforms due to inclement weather or uncontrollable factors. Ultimately, you’re left with uncertainty and risk. That’s why Generac created the Guaranteed Incentive program. With guaranteed annual payments, you don’t have to worry about how much power your system is producing.
In the Guaranteed Incentive program, Generac will pay you fixed, guaranteed annual payments. Through this pathway, you can have peace of mind knowing exactly how much you’ll make each year.
