California's Self-Generation Incentive Program
To help you prepare for Public Safety Power Shutoffs, the state of California launched the Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP), which helps homeowners prepare for Public Safety Power Shutoffs by providing financial incentives to be used toward battery storage systems, also known as battery backup systems.
A solar panel system is not required to participate in the SGIP program.
With the SGIP program, qualifying homeowners* can receive up to $17,000 for the PWRcell!
For more information on reimbursement of residential systems through the State of California's Self-Generation Incentive Program click here.
*Homeowners who qualify for the State of California’s Self-Generation Incentive Program may receive reimbursement for the cost of a battery backup system, up to $17,000 (assuming eligibility for reimbursement from the SGIP’s Equity Resiliency Budget). Reimbursement under the SGIP may not cover installation or other costs associated with the battery backup system. For more information contact your Generac PWRcell dealer for details.
