To help you prepare for Public Safety Power Shutoffs, the state of California launched the Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP), which helps homeowners prepare for Public Safety Power Shutoffs by providing financial incentives to be used toward battery storage systems, also known as battery backup systems. A solar panel system is not required to participate in the SGIP program. With the SGIP program, qualifying homeowners* can receive up to $17,000 for the PWRcell!
